2011-UP V6 Mustangs Drag Racing

7 posts in this topic

I'm starting to think these cars would be perfect for a sleeper.

Not many expect a fast V6 mustang.

Maybe a turbo setup and call it a day!

My friend had a slightly modded 4.0 (gears, intake, exhaust and tune) and he was pretty quick!  Sounded exotic too which was fun.  I ran into him one night in the 66 and put a pretty decent amount of space between us which surprised me.  Cant get the damned thing off the line but from a roll it would do well.  Anyways, another buddy has a 3.7 car and it feels good but seems like a dog down low then once it gets wound up it moves out pretty decent!

6 cylinders?  Why so many?

I bet that old car doesn't weight much. Very cool though. I liked the sound of it.

The problem with new cars is weight, not power.

Stick a bolt-on Camaro or Mustang V6 in that old car and it would probably be faster, and on pump gas, with AC, could pass emissions (not that it matters in that old car) and daily drive it to work.
