Let's see those trucks! (Pics thread!)

Man, that looks good. I'd like to put a 3.5" lift and some 33s under Ol' Blue, but don't want to have to climb in and out of it all the time. I'm getting lazy. hahaha

I was talking to one of my customers that has an 08 extended cab, but it has the 5' 8" bed like the crew cabs. I thought all the extended cabs still had the 6' beds.

Some dude that has an Alaska plate has an ext cab Raptor over here by me. He just put one of those bumpers like the black Chevy above has with all the lights on it. I drool every time I see it.

Hope I can afford to fix up the Dodge soon. I'd really like to make it an on/off road trail toy!

I'd like to have an off-road toy, but Ol' Blue won't be it. It's my daily driver, so the most dirt it will see will be around the farm.

Farm? :hyper: Got a 1,000 yard firing range I can use? I need to sight in the 50 BMG.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to use a new truck for any hard core off roading as I hate to see dents, dings, scrateches, etc, on new vehicles.

I shoot down into the bottom field, at Dad's. It's several feet lower with a steep bank. I don't know that it's big enough for 1000 yards, though, bud. lol

Heres mine over the years.

93 Suburban given to me by my parents. Drove it for a while, abused it, loved it and then traded it off for my 84 SVO. Had just under 300k on it when I sold it. No pics online but it was Blue and Gold two toned.

77 F100. 300 inline, 3 on the tree, 2wd, longbed. LOVED this sucker. Bought it for $300, rattle canned it and drove the piss out of it. Eventually slapped a rebuilt motor and brand new tires off a wrecked 90s F150 in it and sold it when Pate's truck came around. I miss this thing, and will have another one day but prolly a 4x4.

88 F150. 302, C6, 4x4 with longtubed, 2.5" Y'd to 3" single exhaust, MAF swap, 31/10.5s. Had NO intentions of buyin another vehicle when Pate hit me with the bombshell that he was sellin this thing. I seriously had to pray it over, not to figure out whether or not I NEEDED it, but how I was gonna pay for it  I immediately got a buyer for the 77 which made life alot easier, got the 88 running and the rest is history. I have no major plans mod wise, considering a slight lift and maybe 33s but for now Im just gonna drive her and use her to haul stuff. Shoot, lately Ive been cleanin her up and drivin her on Friday nights to the cruise in and around town since the 66 is down LOL.

91 Ranger. 2.3, 5 speed longbed. Bought this truck right after sellin the 77 and pickin up Pate's. Only reason I got it was it was $300, ran and was in such nice shape I thought it a shame to let waste. I figured I could turn it around quick, which I did. Did a simple tuneup and a friend said he had a family member needing a truck, $1200 later she was gone. I liked that truck tho, it was clean and kinda fun to put around in.

I like that F150 4x4!

My Dad gave me his 87 F250 at 23k miles. Had it parked at my folks house and told him he could drive it any time he wanted. Had a rad leak and he forgot to check the coolant before he left. Long story short, over heated it and popped a head gasket.

I had Shacklett rebuild me a 302HO for it, but things got tight and I couldn't finish it at the time, so I sold the roller for $500 to a dude that was going to put a 4cyl Cummins in it (he already had it in the F150 he pulled the F250 home with). I solt the motor to another guy. :(

These old trucks are great!!! Its got its quirks but it runs and goes everywhere I tell it and thats all that matters for now. I can fix the rest eventually lol. I love seein em around, and kinda like Fox bodies, once you have had one its hard not to look at em and think "I mean, I COULD use another"

Agree!

I hope I can find another that isn't ragged out, but with ext cab 4x4 F250 or SRW F350 4x4 when I get the cash. :yum:

I just can't see these new $50-$60k Ford diesel trucks. Too much money, crazy emiss junk on them, ammonia tanks for emiss to fill, and look like a crowded nightmare under the hood! If the new Ford's came with the 6cyl Cummins, I'd like them much better!

Bottom line, if I can't easily fix and maintain it, I don't want it. I just can't stand dropping my vehicles off at dealerships for a week to get something fixed and every time get a huge bill.

Yup! That was one thing I loved about the 77, SUPER easy to work on, parts were readily available, I could reach everything and it never really needed work cause it was reliable as hell. I took it to the dealership a couple times tho...to pick up parts for the mustangs LOL

Yeah, that old f250 was the same way. In 230k miles, it hardly ever needed anything. Even the tires and brakes seemed to last forever, but my Dad never pulled a load with it ironically and he drove it like he was 100 y/o.

That thing had a NP435 4 speed stick with a 3:73 rear. Granny was useless as it would probably redline under 5 mph. So he took off in 2nd. At 65, it was turning some good rpm's since it had no OD (5th). Yet he still knocked down 17mpg with the ol 5.0 302!

When I drove it, I'd get 15-16, but I refused to drive under 70 on the interstate for fear of being killed. My Dad wouldn't go over 65 and sometimes he'd go slower.

Almost forgot the '48 F1. The wife and I will inherit it when I go get it from Smyrna. No room for it right now.
