From here, but I dont' know if it is right. I'm just not ready to pull the booster, MC, Spindles, ETC from the Goblin to swap over yet. I'm not sure if I'm even going to pull the booster because it is a ***** to get the SN Cobra booster in, one of the reason I haven't started the swap in years, that and the $1500 worth of wheels and tires when I was broke. I just need tires and time now.

Trying to be cheap where I can swap the 5-lug wheels and tires off the Goblin, the tires on the coupe are now showing cords and the Goblins tires have maybe 4K or 5K miles on them. I will look into doing SN or Wilwood stuff later, depending on what I decide to do with it.

Good thing I didn't drive the car much, I dropped the tank this weekend and guess what I found..... The PO didn't tell me the truth on the fuel pump, it was supposed to have a 190lph and I found..........a 60lph.....

Well the HP 255 is in now.

Now need to order the tuner, which I still haven't done.

Holy crap! That's a tiny pump! Is that out of a 4cyl 2.3L car? :stare::eeek::fear::panic:

I googled it. A 60lph pump is a 4cyl 2.3L pump.

Probably he thought it was the right part because some after-market folks are selling the same pump for the 2.3L and 5.0L (but more than the 60lph) I guess to save money by not making two different pumps.

It would be easy for a parts guy that assumes that to make the mistake and sale a 4cyl pump as a cheaper alternative that'll work in the 5.0L thinking its the same or because one brand may carry 1 pump for both while another brand may have specific pumps for each.

It is a Ford pump. Oh well, I guess I will keep it around as a spare though I do have a new GSS307 in the tool box.

Is there anything I can pump through it to clean the gas out of it?

Mineral spirits. Thats what most people use in fuel injector flow benches and it's safe to store the injectors with it in them afterwards. I don't see why the same wouldn't apply to a fuel pump.

Anyone know how to get soda/coke/pop/whatever stain out of a seat. I have spent the last 3 hours trying to scrub stains out of the pass. seat of the coupe with a carpet cleaner using their oxy setup. Of course the seat, carpet and rear seat bottom looks like Coke and Pepsi shot a porno with the car and there is brown jizz stains everywhere.

Steamer carpet cleaner?

I say that because if it is soaked in and dried, you'll need one of those steamer carpet cleaner type machines to shoot hot steam at it and vacuum the liquid back up.

The upper seat cover is in the washer right now as the seats/interior is dirty as hell anyway. I can't really complain about a free car though. I will see what it does. The liquid the carpet cleaner pulled up looked almost like syrup but there is still a stain. It may not be able to be removed, it had been in the car for years it looks like when I got it. I did see a mention of dry cleaner liquid some where, not really wanting to replace the interior.

To give you an idea, when I cleaned the plastic on the center console the water was black.

Pics of car?

If you can't get the stain out, maybe you can get some fabric die that matches and redo it?

Bleh, still breaking up. I really need to put the injectors and MAF in. I may say screw it and pull the engine and be done with it if I still have a job in a few months.

What is a the general price to get a block fluxed and machined these days?

This year or in two years when you actually drop it off at the machine shop? :)

Depends on what it needs. Clean, flux, bore home and deck with new cam bearings and freeze plugs. Probably $450-500.

Cast isn't bad unless you plan to spin it higher and make more hp than it is designed for.

6000-6500 500-600hp  Any more and stuff seems to break a lot more.
