Granny

When I was a kid, my Granny and Papa Watson were self-employed and ran a garage.  Papa worked on cars into the wee hours of the morning, and 7 days a week, more often than not, while Granny ran the business side.  Neither had a high school diploma, but Granny was highly intelligent, and Papa was one of the best mechanics you would ever meet.  Together, they built a a business that provided for their family, though they didn't have anything extra.  Together, they lost everything to a fire, lost a son to leukemia, endured Granny suffering through two rounds of cancer, bounced back from Papa's multiple heart attacks, and lost the business due to illness.  They did everything, good times and hard times, TOGETHER.  While not having much of their own, they were always the most generous people you would ever meet.  There was always room at Granny's house, and always a seat at Granny's table.  While Papa worked on the cars, Granny was always one of the best at diagnosing the problem.  She educated, and put to shame, many young counter-guys at the parts houses.  Today, Granny left this world to be at the feet of JESUS.

Very sorry Jeff.  :(

Granny asked about you guys, all the time. After losing, Uncle Michael to leukemia, when he was 16, she prayed for Ross everyday.

Thanks for the condolences, guys! Granny was a special lady. She never finished high school, but she was one of the smartest women you'd meet. And, boy, did she know about cars! It was great watching her educate the young counter guys at the parts houses. The owners and managers would just laugh when she would school them.
