I think he sold the Mustang; no post in the 65 thread since 2015. Not sure about the truck/crown vic project.

Still have it just waiting to make it awesome.

If you put a 4.6L 2v in there, you are gay.

Sure, you can make anything fast with work, money and time.

But there are so many better options out there.

You have the best option. Put the yote in the Fox.

Put the 2v in the truck.

You could run the Mustang in NMRA Coyote stock class even.

I think the CS class is a sealed engine class, not sure what the stipulations are.  Could do Coyote Modified or even Turbo Coyote for some 8 sec fun.

Have to buy a sealed engine from ford with special non removable bolts

I bet somebody in that class has removed those non removable bolts.

I think they are actually covers over the bolts that will tear when trying to remove them, kind of the deal Vortech/Paxton use to keep you from changing pulleys for warranty purposes.

I have not seen the Ford stuff, I know what GM used some years ago.  The bolts were unique because the hex drive part would shear off at the right torque, leaving only a rounded flange holding tight.  Some steering column bolts are that way as they grip a mount that's designed to allow slippage during a frontal collision, the factory bolt sheers off to prevent overtorqueing.

OOOHH, you mean like the ones on all the Ford exhaust and intake manifolds?  Seems like they only use a couple of them per manifold because sure as ****, Im nearly guaranteed to snap one or two every time Im in there :roflmao:

Looks easy to copy/cheat to me.  All it's covering is an intake bolt.  Cut through the bolt/intake, make any mods, put a new intake on, glue that bolt in place.  It's NA and WOT, that gasket won't leak.

Better yet, cut that bolt out and glue it into an LS engine and dominate!  :duck:

And if caught you have $7K worth of scrap and have to start over.

It still comes down to who has the most money.  The big guys will just swap engines every race and the little guys will have to lose until they can afford to replace the engine.
