....is heavier than a manual trans... :)

When is the puzzle getting put together?  The dragstrips are itching to get started and the rain could stop any month now...

I have a few more things to go.

I had to order a fan relay that fits a 1/8 NPT because the one in the Forstbite wiring kit is too big for any -an fittings in -6AN.

Some Earls thread sealer (can't use teflon tape).

Etc...

Then, TK Performance has to credit me back the $1,500.00 core charge.

Looks like Mike motivated me to do a 6 Piston Brembo brake upgrade.

IMG_4150.JPG

Will send them off for powder coating soon as I find some matching rear calipers.....

If speed kills, brakes save lives.... :D

Not going to do this very soon as I just did a full brake job before our dyno day, but I am in the planning stages.

Trying to figure out what color to powder coat the Brembo brakes...

Here are a few colors I like:

ctsv_2.jpg

ctsv_3.jpg

ctsv_4.jpg

Of course red and stock Z28 / CTSV silver...

Painted calipers?  Did you trade for a Civic??

Do you realize how many colors are available from the factory on the Camaro and Corvette calipers?

2019 ZR1 Corvette has Blue calipers and Sebring Orange...

Corvette ZO6 has Red, Yellow, Gray....

CTSV's came with Yellow or Silver...

Camaro 1LE's came with red...

ZL1's came with black..

Etc...

Painted calipers, as long as they go well with the body color and wheels, are fine.

If everyone else was jumping off a cliff would you jump too?   lol :)

Not my cuppa tea, and I'm just pickin'.   I hope your (insert color) calipers stop that FAST  and  HEAVY car safely every time.   Myself,....I'd be more intersted in a cage and helmet than caliper color.  You've got a LOT of potential energy.

I like the blue. I'd say it depends on wheel color also.

The man with CO detectors on bicycles isn't gonna jump on a safety bandwagon?  :)

With a Grey car, any of them will be fine without clashing but honestly...Ide find a Grey or Black set and be happy.  Black and Grey are always perfect.  If you feel the need to spice things up and it doesnt make any difference in price then Blue would be cool with the Grey paint.  Ide find a set of black ZL1 wheels to set the look of the car off before I worried about caliper color ;)

Swapped on my cat pipes to pass emiss aka MARTA.

My GOD do those pipes fit in there tight.

What I thought would be a 30 minute job turned in to like 4 hours of wrestling those damn pipes in there. :shake:

I'm sore all over from that and the gravel poking me in the back-side.

With ramps, there is only a little room to work under there and less toward the rear.

Wish me luck with MARTA! :meh:

OBD2, pretty much if there is no CEL it will pass unless the stuff is disabled in the tuning and it doesn't show ready.

Get some wheel cribs they are a life saver when doing exhaust on your back!!!  Like said above, so long as your rear 02's show readied and your dont have any CEL's you will pass no problem.  They never look under either of my newer Mustangs for cats anymore it seems.

My local MARTA always looks for cats.

Mine did too but never once did they look at the GT and they didnt look at the Shelby when I brought it in!  They used to get a yoga mat out and crawl under the BlueCoupe just to make sure they were there lol

Only problem I have now is O2 heater not ready (prob because LT's) and evap system incomplete (wtf?).

So aborted taking it in to see how i can get those showing ready because I hear if everything is not showing ready, they'll fail you. :wall:

We need to get like KY and vote out emiss testing altogether.

Im sure you can ready them yourself thru your tuning software?  When I had to pass I would message Lund and have them send me a file with them readied and I would pass from there.  Not sure bout the evap system tho.
