What would you hypothetically build? Now with more CTS-V

Nope, I haven't done anything since the lifter swap.  I've been daily driving it.  One of my front wheels developed a crack so it's got the skinnies back on it.  I went to clarksville speedway friday but couldn't run any faster than a 7.1@98.  I'm going to build an ice tank for the intercooler system that should help in this heat.

The expansion and pressure of the CO2 gas created would be too much and the water would freeze.  It's been done with dry ice and alcohol, but that's just more complicated than I need.

Fabrication continues.  I cut the box down 3/8" and it fits perfect.

I welded up all the insides.  I'm rusty but I can still do it.

And I built the mount to bolt it to an existing tab near the fender.

Then I cut the top for the deck plate.

Next up the inlet and outlet tubes.  I need to cut slots in them tomorrow.

The Cadillac has been slow lately.  At BG last weekend and Clarksville a few weeks before that, it seemed to be down on mph.  I could not figure out why.  Today when I got to the track, noticed my cold air intake had come loose from the throttlebody.  Still enough to seal partially, but I popped it back on and bam, instantly back to where I should be.  I was also leaving harder.  I ran a string of 6.8-9's with 1.5x 60's all day.  The best pass was a 6.83@102 with a 1.53 60'.  The weather was decent, but come fall those times will fall.

I made it to the final 4 in the street car class, but went red when I pushed through the lights.  It was a good day.

Not that I need to justify it anymore.  But this is why I got rid of the GN for the Caddy.  This weekend I went to cars n coffee Saturday morning, the Portland cruise in and the track.  If this was the GN, I would have had to fix something in between and I probably wouldn't have gotten it out in the heat.
