Why does my bottom radiator hose stay cold? My top radiator hose is hot/warm but my lower radiator hose is cold to the touch. This is on my 99 silverado. I replaced the thermometer on it cause at 1st it wouldn't get to 210 degrees, so I replaced it and it now gets to 210. But the bottom hose stays cold. Does it mean my radiator is working very good?

Doing some poking and history.....

B1 is 1/3/5........1/3/5 was re-ringed under warranty in 2016 because of https://www.autoblog.com/2013/10/23/honda-settles-class-action-lawsuit-engines/

So...i need to look at the live data more and research as some of this is new to me, but the car was draining the oil pan in about 2k miles at the time.  It took almost a year of pestering the dealer to cover it.

I'm not really shocked if it needs a B1 cat as I know it was oil soaked for quite a while.

Welp....

Played with it more today, 1 hard pull and looking at some live data it threw another code and made it permanent, can't remember what it was but it didn't like it when I was switching around live data as it threw the VSA light on.  Turned it off, cleared codes, the p04020 was still permanent along with the other one. drove around a bit and checked it back at the house...........no stored codes and the 2 permanent codes were cleared too. but the EVAP readiness was still pending.

Ran it though Marta though and passed.... so   Last time it went 10 miles and reset the p04020.

I took my S10 down a side/back road at 5:30 tonight and found that about 10 hp would overpower the tires.  Several times I shifted to N (stupid automatic) so I could brake without spinning.  Put it in park in a gravel drive with about a 5% grade and it's started sliding down the hill.  But now there's a layer of sleet for traction.  The Corolla stopped from 20 mph in about 30 feet with all four tires locked.

This ice is a mess.

Not bad on the main roads, but neighborhoods, it's bad.

My conclusion after looking at the national weather map: I think Biden's already got global warming turned around.   I'm impressed.
