Pulled the cam out today (One of the lobes is worn out). Also installed new oil pump. Tomorrow I'll install the cam, also going to take the heads checked out and install new seals and springs.
Any good place to take heads and have them checked? I won't go to schacklett
Why not Shackletts? My friends and I have all used him with success.

I have a couple buddies that used them and screwed them. I also used them and they screwed me too. They'll never get my business again. I showed them their error the same day I went to pick up my intake and they pretty much said to bad and leave. So **** them
Also my intake was supposed to be done in a couple days but it took them weeks to do and they the price of the job **** near doubled. So it took them weeks to do my job and almost doubled in price and it was not done right

I'll be picking up my heads tomorrow.
Wow. First time I heard anything like that for Shacklett's. Sorry to hear that, Tino.
How long ago was this? Recent?
It was 3 years ago.
Only real complaint I had was price.
We need motor pr0n pics!
Heads are back.
What's a good way to remove rust from cylinder walls? A couple of my cylinders have slight rust
Nice!! Where did u get them done?
Head works of Nashville. It's on Gallatin rd. They've done Heads for me before
They do a good job.
Use a scotch bright pad with some oil on it and very light pressure evenly and all the way around the bore.
Thanks I'll start installing them Tomorrow. I should have it done on Sunday.

Those heads look really good. And looks like it is coming along nice tino
Your welcome. May be coming to Clarksville soon, don't you live out that way
I'm around 35 min from Clarksville
I live southeast of it. I'm 15 min from Michael house.
My wore out cam.
It has 1/32nd of thread on it ☺
Truck should probably gain around 100hp with my cam upgrade. I mean I am getting another cylinder ☺
****!!! That lobe is beat.
Heads looks nice, bro!
How the crap can a cam lobe get that worn on just one cylinder?
Have you checked out the shortblock bearings and ring gap, etc?
Better to do it now than put it back together and find out the bottom needs work.
