blower motor....clip....Idk

5 posts in this topic

every so often the blower motor stops blowing. the rear air works fine.

I finally caught it when it wasn't working and started checking voltages. everything reads around 13 -14 volts.
if you hit the motor it will start blowing, so I thought maybe it just needs to be oiled.
blah blah blah..... when putting it back in I noticed the clip was burned on the ground side. Think the blower motor its self is going out?

Loose connection caused high resistance which caused lots of heat....fix connection, motor is most likely* A OK.

*not responsible for shorted blower motor burning vehicle, garage, house, and neighborhood to the ground.

easy enough. thanks for the advice! I cleaned up the clip until I can order a new one. everything seems to be working fine.

*note to self. make sure to park in the garage

I wouldn't even try to put any of it out!
